At West Carter High School, We Expect our Students To perform.  The faculty and leadership team work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.  We use individual student data to help us guide students and provide them multiple opportunities to become college or career ready.  The entire staff continuously looks for new ways to address the unique learning styles of the students we serve.

 

I started my career in education in 1990 and have previously worked in the Lawrence County and Ashland Independent school systems.  I am married (Mary Beth, 1985) and have two children Jessica (1987) and Amanda (1988). I am also a proud grandfather.   I earned a B. S. in mathematics from Morehead State University in 1988, an M. A. in mathematic s from Marshall University in 1991 and another M. A. and Rank I in education from Morehead in 2005.

 

I have always tried to put the students of WCHS at the forefront of the decisions I make.  I encourage everyone to become involved with the students, faculty and staff here.  Please, never hesitate to call the school if you have any questions or concerns.  We will make every effort to meet the diverse needs of each student.
